Lent marks the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting in the desert, enduring temptation by Satan, so we could have a better life.
Fasting is not just about giving up food, why not fast your horrible habits away? Let’s use this Lent, to fast some of your time, listen to inspiration and strengthen your spiritual muscles.

Types of food fast to enhance spiritual growth:
Full Fast: Drink only water.
Liquid Fast: Drink only fruit juice or broth.
The Daniel Fast: Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.
Partial Fasts: Sunset to sundown (no eating between 6am-6pm) or a specific number of days

What fast can you do for 40 days?

Please note:
If you have a health condition which prohibits you from a full or Daniel fast, there are other options such as choosing something from your daily routine (i.e., specific foods, television, other technology etc.) and fast in that manner. Replace that time with prayer and study of God’s Word.
