“Time Of Love”, the sixth in my series of books on love, delves into God’s massive demonstration of love towards Jerusalem, which is a type of the Church or the believer in Christ. It launches us into the subject of marriage – the great arena where love is discovered, developed and demonstrated. The lessons of this book and what it seeks to reveal are clearly portrayed in Ezekiel 16. In this portion of Scripture, Jerusalem, experiences the love and mercy of God under different circumstances. The story begins with Jerusalem as an abandoned baby who is left to die. God picked her up, cleaned her and nourished her. He nurtured her to maturity – the time of love – after which He married her and developed her into a prosperous kingdom. In the time of love we must prioritize our commitment to the development of our spouses. “Children” focus on the things that make them look successful and prosperous but “adults” concentrate on the lives of the people in their families especially their spouses. We should not neglect our families in our pursuit of comfort and success.
